Position Summary:

The Airbus Helicopters North America Media Production Internship position will provide the Aviation Education Department with support in a variety of tasks to include creating multi-media (video and still photography) and the editing of the raw material/content to produce training video segments for dissemination across the world. The intern will also assist in the management of live virtual training events broadcast from AHI. The successful candidate will be competent with the technology associated with social media content development and distribution, and have a creative mind capable of imagining possibilities. The intern will also assist with administrative support as well as other projects and duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

Editing Presentations: 50%

  • Must be familiar and competent with Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro , and Motion
  • Must be capable to work independently to edit / manipulate / enhance video / audio files into short / concise video segments to meet presentation requirements.
  • Must be capable of exporting finished product(s) to various platforms.

Filming Presentations: 25%

  • Support the actual filming of content. This may be done in a studio, on the flight line, or in an aircraft.
  • Be capable of operating the video / audio / photo equipment to capture professional quality images.
  • Contribute with creative / imaginative techniques to capture and communicate. (Art Director)

Distribute Presentations: 25%

  • Improve social media outreach content, to include creating, updating, and monitoring social media accounts to foster worldwide distribution of our content.
  • Propose ideas for new ways to develop social media activities, suggest creative opportunities in line with our company values and branding
  • Provide support in creating, preparing, and distributing our content / messages.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Other administrative duties as may be assigned that support the creation, editing, presentation, cataloging, and archiving of multi-media material.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:



  • High School Diploma
  • Currently seeking Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Communication Technology and/or Broadcasting
  • Experience in videography, video / audio editing, and distributing content.



  • The ability to demonstrate competency with filming and editing multi-media material.


  • Successfully filmed, edited, and posted videos to social media platforms.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:


  • Competencies in Final Cut Pro X, Logic Pro, and Motion or similar software programs such as Adobe Premiere
  • Social media awareness
  • Creativity in capturing and editing video to create interesting final product.
  • Organized with Time Management Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form


  • Skilled presenter / actor with ability and willingness to have an onscreen presence.
  • Aviation industry knowledge/experience

  • Ability to work in a team setting and in a multi-cultural atmosphere
  • Ability to pitch ideas and present in front of an audience
  • English at a fluent/negotiation level required

Location Requirements:

  • Relocation support is not offered for this position. Candidate must either be currently located in the DFW metro area or able to physically be located in the DFW metro area at the time of starting in the role.

  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens daily, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations daily in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings daily, deliver information and participate in communications.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment
