Position Summary:

The Recruitment & Engagement Specialist will play an important role on the HR team and support the positive culture and employee experience at Airbus. The main focus of the role will be to lead and manage employee engagement and recruitment initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Employee Engagement & Operations (50%)
  • Drives and leads employee engagement and recognition activities for all sites (Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Remote employees)
  • Serves as the Inclusion & Diversity contact for AHI- all sites
  • Assist with employee relations issues as needed
  • Responds to employee questions regarding policies and benefits
  • Assist People Operations Specialist with onboarding program and serve as backup to facilitate new hire orientations as needed
  • Assist HRBPs as needed with projects and reporting.
  • Maintain Service Awards Program for Mississippi as well as Quarterly Service Awards for all sites.
  • Provide HR briefings to Leadership class candidates
  • Ensure accurate Data entry for ADP/SAP/HRIS systems
  • Provide interpretation and guidance on company policies and procedures ensuring consistent application of company policies/procedures and compliance with all federal and state laws/statutes regulating the employment relationship
  • Demonstrate superior customer service to employees at all times
  1. Recruitment and Training Support (50%)
  • Act as the Recruitment Coordinator for AHI-MS, to include scheduling interviews, corresponding with applicants, working with hiring managers to complete required interview documentation and job files, closing out job files in accordance with AAP requirements, etc.
  • Serves as the backup to the Recruitment Coordinator in Texas
  • Work cross functionally with the AHNA Recruitment Team in coordinating intake meetings for job requisitions.
  • Assists with HR initiatives such as annual Compliance Training, Leads training, talent management, and corporate events.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required


  • Bachelors' degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.



Minimum three (3) years varied experience working in Human Resources with focus on managing confidential data, recruiting, employee engagement, interpreting employment policies and benefits, new hire and onboarding and inclusion & diversity.

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite: 90% of time that this position must be worked onsite at the company's location.
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, and reports.
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment.
  • Carrying: able to carry documents up to 15lbs.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents and electronic equipment up to 15lbs.
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small boxes and some office equipment.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
