Position Summary:

Responsibilities will include assisting the Engineering and Certification department. Perform clerical office duties such as filing, word processing, excel spreadsheets and records updating. Provide technical assistance for all Certification, Engineering and STC projects related to design activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Office Support: 40%
  • Provide administrative assistance to Engineering management as required for clerical duties.
  • Responsible for managing, organizing, and securing electronic data, documents, files, and records in the AHI
  • Engineering and Certification SharePoint sites.
  • Requires the use of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
  • Operates office equipment and completes general office work.
  • Responsible for managing, organizing, and securing electronic data, documents, files, and records in the AHI
  • Engineering and Certification SharePoint sites.
  • Assist in arranging domestic and international travel and submitting to manager for approval.
  • Use of Concur system to create and submit expense reports to manager for employee reimbursement.
  • Tracks and processes Engineering Invoices through SharePoint and SAP
  • Produces Purchase Requests for departmental needs and functions
  • Initiates and follows up on IT work orders for system malfunctions and product refurbishment
  • Maintains and orders all departmental and breakroom supplies
  • Check and distribute mail
  1. ODA/Certification Support: 30%
  • Provide technical assistance as required to support Engineering and Certification projects to the STC
  • Administrators, Project Administrators or other management as required.
  • Provide assistance as required for STC file maintenance, copying and other clerical duties including filing and data entry.
  • Create and maintain quarterly and yearly reports to submit to the FAA, such as ODA Scorecard and Activity Reports
  • Support STC project closure audits and create Post STC Submittals to the FAA
  • Update STC-FMS-MMS List
  1. Engineering Support and Liaison 10%
  • Responsible for importing information of RDAS reports and filing the paper copy
  • Use Database management system to create specific reports required by AH
  • Responsible for A/C data records to date and log and send old records to Iron Mountain for storage
  1. Continuous Improvement 10%
  • As required, updates Engineering and Certification procedures, work instructions and forms
  • Maintain original documents folder and manages updates SharePoint Document Center
  • Follow, apply and help execute desktop procedures for documentation and training.
  1. Visual Management 10%
  • Communications board for facility information, notices and events
  • Deploys 5-minute Safety Training and QA Training to team, gather signatures and return to requesting dept.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering and Avionics from an accredited college/university

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite: 100% as allowed by school schedule
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Occasionally may be required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection if visiting the shop floor.
