Position Summary:

Supervise the timely repair of customer components and delivery of spare parts in compliance with the Airbus Supplier Support Conditions requirements. Responsible for inventory control functions, monitoring material usage, processing customer orders, and reviewing invoices.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Customer Interface: 50%

  • Ensure overall customer satisfaction in terms of spares & repairs performance, communication, warranty, flexibility, pricing, & reliability.
  • Advise customers of freight options as necessary to ensure on-time delivery, communicating tracking info.
  • Ensure fulfillment of customers' technical requirements, coordinating the response with other departments and partners as necessary.
  • Provide order acknowledgements, collect end-user statements, create SAP Delivery notes.
  • Communicate order status upon customer request
  • Administer necessary forms to facilitate spares, repairs, and exchange transactions
  • Sell and promote AHI's helicopter and airline avionics related services. Work closely with customers to identify additional sales opportunities
  • Resolve customer discrepancies and/or disputes
  • Issue RMA's and Credits
  • Notify AHI AR & Airbus Cabin Electronics which customers are on delivery blockage per Airbus Service Agreement.
  • Review invoices from Airbus Cabin Electronics & KID-Systeme. Notify AHI AP when approved to pay.
  • Expediting parts from suppliers, closing work orders.
  • Grow relationship with airline customers and OEM partners (Airbus-Buxtehude) including periodic on-site customer visits and global spares/repair workshop attendance

2. MRO Shop Supervision: 40%

  • Plan and prioritize the workload of all assigned personnel to ensure on-time delivery of components per delivery schedules.
  • Maintain employees' adherence to proper job procedures and department processes.
  • Conduct periodic performance evaluations; make recommendations for salary increases (promotion, merit, and adjustment), transfers, hires, and disciplinary actions (termination).
  • Analyses trends and advises management accordingly.
  • Identifies process improvements to encourage and lead lean activities
  • Maintaining status of WIP (Work in Process)

3. Material Management: 10%

  • Supervise team ensuring Avionics inventory is managed in compliance with AHI process, in coordination with Sr. Director Supply Chain Logistics.
  • Coordinate cycle counts of Z109/R109 consignment and AHI owned-inventory
  • Request consignment inventory from OEM, create and administer consignment PO's
  • Reporting weekly consignment usage report to Airbus Cabin Electronics / KID-Systeme GmbH
  • Advise Avionics manager of any issues regarding material suppliers
  • Ensure AHI Purchasing Department is promptly handling AHI-owned material requirements
  • Review purchasing pattern with technical input from repair shop. Recommend minimum / maximum stocking levels to minimize inventory while ensuring TAT complies with the Airbus service agreement.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Aerospace, Program Management, or Electronics



  • Minimum four (4) years Avionics or Electronics technical experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of Supervisory experience. Note: Four (4) additional years (8 total years) of technical experience can be substituted for this requirement


  • SAP MRO/Inventory Control Experience
  • Global supply chain/logistics experience
  • Customer service experience with Airline operators or in the aviation industry.
  • Avionics or Electronics technical experience preferably with Airline operators or in the aviation industry.



  • FAA Repairman's certification or ability to acquire within 3 months after hiring


  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Black belt
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant License

  • A high level of independent decision making due to the volume of orders and when working over-time is required to meet TAT. This position makes decisions with minimal or no supervision in the handling of Warranty claims, overdue invoice collection, processing incoming invoices from partners, resolving invoice discrepancies, updating maintenance reports, offering exchanges to meet TAT, providing advance exchanges, resolving customer discrepancies/disputes, QA Designated Receiving inspector (new material), inventory control, Avionics Z109/R109 inventory adjustments & cycle-counts.
