Position Summary:  

  1. Production Assembly : 80%

 

  • Perform layout of sheet metal parts by measuring and scribing in preparation for cutting and forming operations.
  • Cut raw materials allowing for bend requirements, flanges, and crimping.
  • Provide nesting arrangements for cutting the maximum number of parts from standard size metal sheets.
  • Prepare patterns and/or templates to simplify manufacturing processes and to assure proper dimensions.
  • Install sheet metal parts and assemblies in aircraft; assure that installations are attached without endangering aircraft structure or systems operation and function. 

 

  1. Production Test and Troubleshooting: 20%
  • Conduct structural and operational checks and completes troubleshooting of sheet metal mechanical installations.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training: 

 

Education:

Required:

  • HS diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Aviation trade school

Experience:

Required:

  • Minimum of 6 years related aviation experience.

Preferred:

  • Minimum 6 years General Aviation or Military Aviation

Licensure/Certifications:

Required: None 

Preferred: 

  • A/P License

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

Required:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Read, interpret, and follow written technical data
  • Familiarity with and the ability to use common aviation type tooling.

 Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

Required:

  • Must be able read, write, and speak English 

Preferred: 

  • Proficient in French or German

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Hydraulics
  • Avionics
  • Electrical
  • Turbine engines
  • Transmissions and Rotor heads

 Travel Required:

  • 5% Domestic and International

Citizenship:

  • US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)
