Position Summary:  Airbus North America IM (Information Management) is looking for experienced SAP FI/CO Business Analyst to support the Finance/Controlling Business in North America.  This role will be responsible for providing a high level of technical support for the applications for the Finance and Controlling Department.  This customer facing role requires a combination of business and technical skills to solve business challenges with the use of technology. This role is based in Grand Prairie, TX, at AHI premises, and will work under the control and the responsibility of the Head of Support Functions Applications Domain. 

Primary Responsibilities:

1.  Analyzing and Solving Business Challenges:  70%

  • Apply business process expertise to resolve technology related challenges & issues
  • Capture high level business requirements and scope in the Project Initiation Form
  • Elicit and capture detailed business requirements including scope and objectives to populate the Business Requirements Document (BRD) or functional specifications for changes
  • Translate and simplify requirements through the requirements gathering process by performing requirements analysis to document true business needs
  • Assist the business stakeholders by providing inputs and guidance into Business Case development
  • Contribute to Project Planning to identify/remediate any gaps between as-is Functional Architecture and Solution definition/operation needs.
  • Propose added-value solutions based on latest innovative technologies to extent Airbus Standards referential.
  • Coordinate and support the successful delivery of Systems (UAT, Training, and Deployment), Creation of test data and test documentation
  • Deliver the solution by SAP Customizing or by assisting SAP Development
  • Document SAP Business Change Requests
  • Provide Level1 and 2 Help desk Application support
  • End User support for Finance and Controlling

2.  Communications:  25%

  • Be the primary interface between the IM organization and business stakeholders
  • Be an advocate for IM and communicate IM activities to business stakeholders
  • Provide regular communication with Business on progress, technical solutions, solutions delivery schedule
  • Contribute to IM skills and knowledge ramp-up proposing Awareness, Training, Demonstrations, and POCS on any interesting new concepts or technologies.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:

Required:  Degree in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

Required:  

  • Experience applying technology to solve business challenges is required
  • 5+ years of associated work experience
  • Candidate needs to have at least 3 years of experience in each of the following areas in the costing module:
  • Overhead management including Cost Center Accounting, Maintenance of the Distribution Cycle / Assessment Cycle / Overhead Cost Calculation / Planning Cost Upload,
  • Product costing including material ledger, Standard price calculation
  • Profitability Analysis including configuration COPA, report creation
  • Project system including WIP Calculation, configuration of RA key
  • Profit center accounting
  • Maintenance and support experience in GL/AP/AR, good understanding and configuration experience in Asset Accounting
  • 4+ years in Application Development.

Preferred:

  • Experience with waterfall, agile, and other project management methodologies
  • Understanding of Airbus IM standards, project and services methodologies, and procedures is a plus
  • 5 years of experience in the aviation industry

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

Required:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Experience in taking direction from and interfacing with corporate governance and the PMO.
  • Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):
  • Soft skills presentation, inter-personal skills, team spirit
  • Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and facilitation skills
  • Fluency in English is mandatory. Spanish, German or French language skills are a plus.

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Technical skills in Project Management Tools, SharePoint, MS Office
  • Technical skills in SAP FI, CO, modules
  • Technical skills in SAP PS, HR modules is a plus
  • ABAP Knowledge, Be able to debug a process in SAP

Travel Required:  10% Domestic and International

Job Dimensions, Contributions to Success:

  • Must be the primary interface between the IM organization and business stakeholders for his/her area of expertise
  • IM team is made of around 13 internal employees plus an additional 9  contractors plus Service Providers
  • The IM team is spread out across US including Dallas Fort Worth warehouse and Columbus Mississippi
  • 2 local IM managers to support in terms of logistics, travel & expense

Fully in charge of support the Finance and Controlling departments, representing 73 employees, mostly all located in Grand Prairie, TX

  • Onsite: 90%
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings 100% daily
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. 100% daily
  • Speaking:  able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications Daily
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Daily
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. 2-3 times a year,  carries 5-10 lbs. on a daily basis
  • Lifting:  able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. 2-3 times a year, lifts 5-10 lbs. on a daily basis
  • Pushing / Pulling:  able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Daily - chairs
  • Sitting:  able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. Daily
  • Squatting / Kneeling:  able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. 5% at most
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor. Daily

  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents):  able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Daily
  • PPE:  steel toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits; appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor
